The worldwide-known Pirelli calendar presentation, which already 5 years on end is being held by the official representative of the company — firm Latakko. During the evening the halls of the restaurant "Kaļķu Vārti" were full of live music; ornamental easels carried the unique collection of Latakko — calendars of the past years and video stories, the creation of which could be watched on a large screen, placed in the main hall. Some very famous people came to see the masterpiece of the photography art. They were: journalist Janis Domburs, ambassador of Italy Francesco Puccio, advertising specialist Erik Stendzenieks, entrepreneurs Vitaly Gavrilov and Rafail Deift, singer Margarita Vilcane and many others. The president of Latakko company — Jevgeny Kopilkov ceremoniously presented Pirelli calendar 2008 to the VIP guests. By tradition one copy of the calendar was sent to the president of Latvia Valdis Zatlers.
